Free-standing e-motor EMC Test Bench

Free-standing e-motor EMC test benches enable testing of the electric drives and high-voltage inverters in the anechoic chamber, and have excellent EMC performance. The test bench is suitable for testing electric drive systems in any field, including automotive, aerospace, robotics, and other industries. Free-standing EMC test benches can be move into or out of the anechoic chamber.
The electric dynamometer and inverter are integrated into a free-standing frame equipped with heavy-duty industrial casters at the bottom. EMC performance fully meets the standards of ISO 11452-2 and CISPR 25

Typical Application Project for EV motor test

Test benches test electric motor of the electric vehicles (EVs), for example electronic motors, electric suspension drive motors, aero-generator etc.

Main test contents:

  • Conducted Emission test

  • Radiated Emission test

  • Standard: GB/T 18655 & CISPR25

Basic configurations:

Dynamometer & Mechanical System: The free-standing frame is mounted on four industrial casters for easy movement. The shaft of the motor under test and the output shaft of the dynamometer can be connected using either insulated couplings or metal couplings, enabling simulation of various connection conditions of the motor under test.

The EUT is mounted on the end face of the mounting bracket via a transition mounting flange, centered by a positioning spigot, and locked and fixed with bolts.

Battery Simulator or Bidirectional DC Power Supply: Simulates an on-board battery pack to supply power to the inverter and the motor. The DC power connects to HV filter outside the anechoic chamber, and then connect to HV AN by HV lines.

MCU Power Supply: Provides a low-voltage power supply for the motor controller. Customer can also select the battery which put on the test table.

Test Object Cooling System: Supplies cooling medium for the tested E-axle and E-drive. An oil or water-cooling system is available for certain oil-cooled or water-cooled test pieces. Parameters including temperature, pressure and flow rate of the cooling system are fully adjustable. The water-cooling system can also use ethylene glycol as the cooling medium. The cooling system is connected to the fluid waveguides mounted on the wall of the anechoic chamber.

Automated Measurement & Control System: Conducts overall control and condition monitoring of the entire motor test bench.
