Note. JKT can provide customized EMC test benches to meet special requirements, such as EMC test benches for aerospace generators. By installing a high-speed gearbox inside the anechoic chamber and connecting it to the EMC drive shaft, the maximum speed can reach 30,000 rpm or even higher.

1Typical Application Project for EV motor test

Test benches test electric motor of the electric vehicles (EVs), for example electronic motors, electric suspension drive motors, etc.

Main test contents:

  • Conducted Emission test

  • Radiated Emission test

  • Standard: GB/T 18655 & CISPR25

Basic configurations:

Dynamometer & Mechanical System: A high-dynamic asynchronous or synchronous motor is selected as the dynamometer, equipped with an EMC drive shaft system and precision, reliable mechanical components. The dynamometer installed outside the anechoic chamber.

Frequency Converter: A four-quadrant frequency converter is adopted for dynamic or steady-state control of the dynamometer. It enables control of rotational speed, torque, allowing the dynamometer to operate in either motoring or generating mode.

Battery Simulator or Bidirectional DC Power Supply: Simulates an on-board battery pack to supply power to the inverter and the motor. The DC power connects to HV filter outside the anechoic chamber, and then connect to HV AN by HV lines.

MCU Power Supply: Provides a low-voltage power supply for the motor controller. Customer can also select the battery which put on the test table.

Test Object Cooling System: Supplies cooling medium for the tested E-axle and E-drive. An oil or water-cooling system is available for certain oil-cooled or water-cooled test pieces. Parameters including temperature, pressure and flow rate of the cooling system are fully adjustable. The water-cooling system can also use ethylene glycol as the cooling medium. The cooling system is connected to the fluid waveguides mounted on the wall of the anechoic chamber.

Automated Measurement & Control System: Conducts overall control and condition monitoring of the entire motor test bench.
